HOW DO I GET TO NORTH WOODS YMCA CAMP?
Google maps link:
1 Northwoods Rd, Mirror Lake NH
Google Maps will lead the way if you enter "North Woods YMCA Camp" or click the link above. You will turn into the drive with the large green marquee sign and follow a long dirt road to the administrative building on the left. Check-in will be held at this building Friday evening and Saturday. You will be greeted by our friends in a golf cart, ready to take you and your belongings to your cabin.
WHAT IS NORTH WOODS YMCA CAMP?
North Woods Camp is a YMCA boys summer camp located on Lake Winnipesaukee. There is a sister camp - Pleasant Valley - on the same property. We will have exclusive access to all facilities at both camps from Friday through Sunday. The camps sit on over 200 acres of wooded property in New Hampshire's beautiful Lakes Region.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A WEEKEND WEDDING IN THE WOODS?
A luxurious weekend of woods and beach relaxation, plentiful food and drink, and music, music, and more music. During the day, you can take walks through the woods, lay out on the beach to take a swim, kick some balls, throw some frisbees, and maybe come across some impromptu musicians playing together. During the evenings, there will be a schedule of amazing music from many of our talented friends and family, near endless food and drinks, and late night bon fires and s’mores. Check out the Packing List page for a listing of camp supplies you’ll want to bring to make your experience smooth and fun.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT IF I WANT TO STAY IN THE CABINS?
First - we highly recommend staying at the cabins. It’s not necessary to enjoy the experience of the weekend, however our intention is anyone and everyone can be on site for as much of the weekend as possible, without a care in the world.
The cabins are rustic, bringing you closer to the camping experience. Most sleep 6-8 guests in beds and bunks. We’ll do our best to make sure you’re bunking with family and friends! Most cabins are without electricity, none have heat, but mid September in New Hampshire is normally not too chilly yet. Each group of cabins has a bathhouse within sight which has all the indoor plumbing and electricity one needs.
CAN I BRING MY WONDERFUL DOG?
Unfortunately the camp does not allow dogs, sorry pups 🐶 (there may be a dog niece as a special exception). We appreciate the logistics it takes to make the needed accommodations 🙏.
